Aspen is a furniture maker, artist, and teacher living and working in Boston, MA. Her work blends contemporary imagery with traditional forms and includes traditional & sculptural furniture, airbrushing, portraiture, photography, installation and weaving. She is a graduate of The North Bennet Street School in Boston, MA and a member of The Society of American Period Furniture Makers (SAPFM), The Furniture Society and The Society of Arts & Crafts. She has assisted at The Penland School of Crafts in Penland, NC and the Haystack Mountain School in Deer Isle, ME. Recent winner of a grant from the SAPFM and residencies at The Penland School and The Vermont Studio Center. Look out for her article in the SAPFM Journal in 2019! She is a founding member of the Thousand Artist Collective in Asheville, NC and has taught art at The Cate School, The Putney School, The Free Range Kids Co-op (NC), The Meadows Studios (NC), The Walker School (MA). Her work has been exhibited in Massachusetts, New York, Vermont, Texas, North Carolina, and Ohio.
